I am a teacher, I have a master’s degree, and I live in Istanbul. Since I am a geography teacher, my English is not good enough, but I am trying to learn English as soon as possible. Because of the feelings I have for Elon Musk, I struggled for a long time. However, on TikTok, I constantly encountered scammers. They tried to scam me by playing with my emotions, and that hurt me deeply. In 2025, I saw a bikini image of Elon Musk created by Grok AI and shared on Twitter. Elon Musk did not object to the post; on the contrary, he reacted to it with a humorous emoji. However, I did not like the image and did not approve of it. For that reason, I wanted to send the image by DM to someone I believed was Elon Musk, simply to express that I did not support the post and that I thought it should be removed. But I could not send it directly through DM. As a last resort, I switched my account to private, sent it through DM, and then deleted it. At that exact moment, TikTok’s automated system interpreted this as a violation of its Community Guidelines and permanently restricted my DM feature. My intention was not to spread the image; on the contrary, I wanted to say that I did not like it and that it should be removed. This situation really upset me. My main account is my other account. I was using this account mainly to be able to use the DM feature, but now I cannot use DMs either. After experiencing this injustice, I have become very discouraged with TikTok. I am even thinking about leaving TikTok altogether. Regardless of what feelings I have for Elon Musk, I cannot reach him anyway. Everything that has happened has been emotionally exhausting for me.
