For those talking about numbing cream! If you’re going to use it make sure it has no more than 4% lidocaine and check with your artist first if they’re even comfortable working on skin that has numbing cream applied. More than 4% can lead to serious health complications

I love when they use the soap/gel to wipe every now and then, so cooling and such relief. I got two new tattoos on Tuesday and actually the tattoos were fine but I had to sit in such awkward positions and I am too old for that now. So uncomfortable.

Do you think it hurt more because it’s going over old ink? I had a tattoo on my chest that didn’t age well so I had it covered with a tattoo that was about 5 times the size and hurt like a Mo-Fo
