@christophernolen1: This young boy came one day with a severely swollen hand. He didn’t approach me but got a few sunflower seeds and I tossed him a peanut hoping he would have a good experience and come back long enough to get some medicine and hopefully recover from the infection. He started showing up every few days and before long would get take from my hand so I could give him a walnut with a little medicine on it a few times. He started getting better but not very quickly so one day I was glad that I got him close enough to get some medicine directly onto his hand. At one point in this process the swelling broke through the skin and drained leaving some red spots where the drainage happened. It got consistently better after that. In the beginning of the video are two older clips when it was still bad. The cover photo gives a good look at the hand soon after the initial drainage happened. He wasn’t coming every day but a couple days a week which was often enough to get enough nutrition until he could climb and move around well enough to heal completely with his normal diversified diet.
