I worked in a pedes ICU. We had a drowning victim toddler who fell in their pool. Our neurologist was their next door neighbor. He told us Mom literally NEVER RETURNED HOME. She was in the hospital til they withdrew support and then stayed in a hotel while movers moved them out. Literally never stepped foot in the house again. Extreme as it is, THAT is more relatable than a mom who continues to swim in the pool her baby died in.

I saw a comment that said, “she was able to move forward with her husband because she knows she’s just as guilty” and in that moment it all made sense. It wasn’t about “oh if it were me I’d want him to forgive me”, it was more so “had I put that fence up instead of making my pool look pretty, he’d still be here” but she won’t ever admit that.

My first boyfriend drowned when I was 18, he was 20. My kids know water safety like the back of their hands. They aren’t allowed on a dock without a jacket on AND properly strapped, they wear it the entire time on water, and can’t take it off until they are back on land. THAT is trauma from a loss. Whatever she’s doing with Teddy… that’s insane…

That baby was a “save our marriage” baby for sure. I think they are on the verge of divorce regardless of what she says. And they thought having another baby was going to fix the marriage.
