@autismjen: Heritage Days in Edmonton has been a family tradition since my childhood, a celebration of Canada’s diversity through food, music, art, and culture. This year, and in recent years, it has felt different. While the festival showcases cultures from around the world, many have struggled with the presence of an Israel pavilion amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in G@za. Many called for organizers to take a public stance, but it remained despite the ongoing w@r and gen◌ocide. As of today, more than 100,000 Palestinians have been k!lled in G@za, including at least 21,289 children. UNICEF also reports that more than 64,000 children have been k!lled or injured since October 2023. It was heartening to see so many Edmontonians showing their support for P@lestine. Seeing our community come together in such large numbers reminded me that compassion, justice, and humanity still matter. 🇵🇸🤍 #palestine #heritageday #edmonton #edmontonalberta #gaza
