I’m so sorry for your little guy, my son sounds like this only at night time, is laryngomalacia all day or certain times?

My baby has this as well, she is one month old but I knew right away after she was born that something wasn’t quite right, so I checked with her pediatrician, who confirmed that it was a laryngeal stridor. I also decided to consult a pediatric ENT because I was feeling uneasy, and thankfully, neither of them were even remotely concerned. They both reassured me that she will eventually outgrow it.
She doesn’t have stridor all day, she feeds well, and she is gaining weight appropriately. It mainly happens when she is lying flat, gets anxious, or becomes desperate while breastfeeding or taking a bottle. She does not do it while deep sleep but nighttime can be especially scary because she also grunts sometimes.
I’m not sure whether reflux is playing a role. She does occasionally arch her back and spit up, but that’s about it. Both doctors have told me that the stridor may sound worse before it starts to improve.
I’m just hoping she outgrows it fast, because nighttime can be absolutely terrifying

My two month old had it. No true vocal sounds other than a wheeze and she had a basically silent cry. It is better! It is very scary at first but their larynx strengthens! I call her Squeaky.

My son is 3 weeks old and hasn't been diagnosed yet but I know he has it. He struggles eating and when he cries, he snorts. Its sad because I feel like he can barely breathe. Its hard as a momma. Sorry your dealing with it too 😔

My baby made this exact noise. Was misdiagnosed with laryngomalacia, and actually had cmpa🤍. Multiple hospital trips later they finally listened to us that we thought it went deeper, once he’s milk was hydrolysed it stopped🩵

He should as he matures- musculature gets stronger. If not- he will need surgery.

I would keep an owlet on the baby if you can. My daughter had a choking incident at 16 days old and it almost ended very badly. She was taking a nap in her crib and silently choked. I wouldn’t have known had I not been with her in the room
