During the show, a fake court is set up with a judge, a prosecutor, and a defense lawyer. The public and the tribunal decide who should be “punished” for the most unpopular or ridiculous decision of the year. It is all done as a public performance, so it feels like a real courtroom drama, but in a funny and theatrical way. At the end, the chosen person is symbolically dunked into the Adige River inside a cage. In many cases, the actual politician is not the one who goes in.
