Ok just speculation but…Patrick’s dad offered up this information willingly. And even made sure to say Patrick told him no to watching the kids. What if his dad knows the truth and can’t bring himself to turn his own son in but wants justice for his grandkids so will give over enough information to make sure he gets caught. Just saying.
