We taught our daughters to be doctors and lawyers and engineers and CEOs. We cheered when they entered every room that had previously been closed to them. We called it progress. And it was. But while we were teaching girls to reach higher, nobody was teaching boys to look around. Nobody taught them to notice. To plan. Women who work full time and carry the mental load and raise the children and maintain the relationships and manage everyone’s emotions and still somehow feel like they are not doing enough. And a generation of men who were never asked to do the second half.
