When you lose your engines in a plane, does the steering become hard like in a car? One time my motor seized in my car while going down mount shasta and had to ride down the mountain until there was an exit but the steering wheel was so hard to move bc the engine was off

Will talk a little about portion of US Interstates all have stretches long and straight enough to put a plane down in an emergency. My father had a 1961 Cessna Skyhawks and would talk to me about finding a stretch, like an Interstate, to put the plane down in an emergency
