My son was born with an extra digit too!! Except his wasn’t secured enough, so we did have to remove it. Call me crazy but I kept it and got it taxidermied and it’s in his room

Same thing happens with genitals.. whichever they’re more closely resembling they change through surgery. Intersex is much more common than we’re led to believe.

My cousin was born with no thumb, but an extra finger attached to his wrist. They took the finger, took out a knuckle, and slapped it on where the missing thumb was. It worked perfectly! They had him play video games to strengthen it, prescribed game time 😂

That’s so cool! They (doc’s and parents) removed my brothers extra digets. But it was cuz they had no bone and was more like a skin tag with a nail on the end on both hands then a developed finger. Very high chance he would have ripped them off. So They Banded them. One fell off in my grandma’s bra during a cousin’s christening lol.

my baby has a little lump on her head since birth, they assumed it was a swollen lymph node and would go away but it didnt. once we knew it wasn't leaving and just how her head was made and it wasn't posing any threat to her they offered surgery to remove it, and when I told her pediatrician she straight up said "its up to you but her hairs gonna cover it and it doesnt bother her, I think it's stupid to out your infant through an unnecessary surgery just because they think her head should be smooth" and i knew again id picked the right pediatrician.

i had a student once that was born polydactyl, full second thumb, 11 fingers, parents went with removal in infancy, 10 fingers, bro got his hand stuck in a car door at 7, lost another finger, 9 fingers left, girl your hair is SO gorgeous btw.
