@workout_inspiration_: There isn’t one “best” shoulder press. Each variation has a different purpose. (1) Dumbbell Shoulder Press → Pros: Greater freedom of movement and challenges each side independently → Cons: Requires more stability, which can limit how much weight you use (2) Smith Machine Shoulder Press → Pros: Stable bar path makes it easier to focus on the shoulders and train close to failure → Cons: The fixed path may not feel natural for everyone (3) Standing Barbell Military Press → Pros: Builds overhead strength while challenging your core and full-body stability → Cons: More demanding and harder to isolate the shoulders (4) Seated Machine Press → Pros: Maximum stability lets you focus on the delts without worrying about balance → Cons: Trains fewer stabilizing muscles and offers less freedom of movement None of these movements are inherently bad.
