I dont get why people say peridot's redemption is 'bad' when there was an entire season of her growing and still being shitty to pearl, amethyst and garnet before she slowly begins to change. shes not 'immature' she's a completely different environment (being captured and letting her guard down) so obviously shes going to act differently???

I never get why people hate lapis so much especially in the beginning like yes she’s a hard ass and yes, she doesn’t let things go easily, but who would blame her?? she was imprisoned in a mirror for thousands of years and then when she got out which reminder she was freed by her literal enemy at that time (as she still viewed the Crystal gems as evil as they were the ones who put her in the mirror in the first place) then gets kidnapped onto a ship by peridot forced to fuse with Jasper and then the next time she sees peridot, they’re acting like little gremlin, yeah, I would have trust issues too, I wouldn’t trust literally anyone
