To the people asking why so many people are getting gas or making it seem like they are over reacting: 301,000 outages were reported out of 500,000. People are not panicking it’s just for generators to run houses because nipsco is saying that it can take 2-3 weeks for everyone to be completely back up and running. And there are also not many gas stations open so the ones that are, are very crowded.

I definitely feel their pain and have my sympathies. We were without power in north Louisiana for 12 days. It was awful!!!

Yup, packed at 4am, went home, even worse at 5am so I went to work. Got sent home at 8:30 and just didn’t stop at any of them, genuinely not worth my time. Luckily I’m only down an 1/8th tank from full
