My lad was shoved aside by mainstream school forced to sit alone in a corridor or go into the reception class despite having 1-1 funding, the school deliberately changed his 1-1 every few months so he couldn’t build a relationship in order to force him out, he lost 3 years of development before we could get him into a special needs school, he won’t ever get them years back and it disgusts me that they were able to do it

my son is 5 non verbal every I pray that he will express his need not holding my hand to get something it breaks my hearts seeing my son I feel pity for him 😭 every day

i work in a Autism class I can assure you we treat your kids like how i want my son treated with kindness respect and make sure school is their safe space to explore and be happy 😊

This has been the hardest week! My daughter went back to school after being out of school for a year due to significant bullying in primary school.. she’s gone to secondary school this week and every ounce of me wanted to take her home but so far she’s had a nice time, a school that’s actually putting in the time and effort with her. She’s terrified of children and she’s autistic awaiting an adhd assessment along with other learning difficulties. But she’s actually come out with a smile on her face which gives me a breath of fresh air knowing currently she’s being accepted and safe ❤️

It’s worse when your son is not crying he is silent withdrawn and pretending he is okay but you know very well from inside he is full of emotions which he don’t know how to express he agree to go because mummy said it’s fun you will be okay because he trust mummy he is brave he want to impress me but only I know how he feels how he sees the world and how it’s effect him and how hard for both of us to let go😔

This was me this morning my daughters first day in year 7 ended up goin back up to school n arranging to pick her up at 12 so half a day for us but the fact she went n gave it a go is a massive plus 👍

I pulled my son from his sen school 2 years ago because he was slapped round the face by a teacher! I will never have faith or trust a teacher ever again!
