I had cuts all over my hands when I changed mine. 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. You take the air cleaner out to change the left side, and the freaking ECM (engine computer) out to change the right side. Then you do EVERYTHING by feel. Cannot see a thing. Because of the difficulty, I managed to rip both latex gloves I was wearing and touch my finger to the left bulb. Bulb lasted a week. So I had to so that one again! I feel your pain!

WHO IS ABDUL EL-SAYED? THE DOCTOR SHAKING UP AMERICAN POLITICS Could Abdul El-Sayed become one of the most influential progressive voices in American politics? Abdul El-Sayed is a 41-year-old American physician, epidemiologist, author and Democratic politician of Egyptian heritage. Born and raised in Michigan, he has built his career around public health, economic inequality and political reform. In August 2026, he won Michigan's Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, defeating Congresswoman Haley Stevens despite substantial outside spending against his campaign. HIS BACKGROUND El-Sayed is not a traditional career politician. He earned a medical degree from Columbia University and a doctorate in public health from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He previously served as Detroit's health director and later led Wayne County's Department of Health, Human and Veterans Services. His public health work included expanding access to overdose-reversal medication, helping children obtain free eyeglasses and launching a medical debt relief initiative. By September 2026, that debt relief program had eliminated more than $95 million in medical bills for over 100,000 residents. WHAT DOES HE BELIEVE IN? El-Sayed's progressive political platform includes: - Medicare for All and universal healthcare. - Reducing healthcare costs and medical debt. - Making housing, groceries and everyday necessities more affordable. - Reducing corporate and billionaire influence in politics. - Challenging the influence of powerful political lobbying organizations. - Opposing U.S. military assistance to Israel. - Greater government accountability and economic fairness. HIS POSITION ON GAZA El-Sayed has been an outspoken critic of Israel's military operations in Gaza and American military assistance to Israel. His position has attracted support from some progressive and Arab American voters while generating significant opposition from pro-Israel political organizations. His campaign has become part of a larger national debate over American foreign policy and the influence of political donors. COULD HE MAKE HISTORY? El-Sayed is currently the Democratic nominee for Michigan's U.S. Senate seat in the November 3, 2026 election. He faces Republican Mike Rogers. If elected, he would become the first Muslim to serve in the United States Senate. However, he is not currently running for president, and no presidential candidacy has been announced. His supporters see him as a potential future national political leader. Critics question aspects of his administrative record, political positions and readiness for federal office. WHY DOES HIS RISE MATTER? His political success reflects an ongoing debate within the Democratic Party over healthcare, economic inequality, foreign policy and the influence of wealthy donors. Whether or not he wins in November, El-Sayed has already established himself as a prominent figure in the progressive movement. SOURCES: 1.
