My baby wants to sleep 4 hour stretches at night. He’s three weeks old and is officially above birth weight. He’s breastfed, great latch, and I hear the suck suck swallows when he eats. His PEDS wants me to feed him 2 oz of formula on top of breastfeeding him but if I do he just spits it up and isn’t interested. It seems cruel to wake him up every two hours to force feed him when he’s gaining weight and is a happy baby. The PED just wants him to gain weight faster.

My baby just turned 4 weeks and now will only latch for a few minutes and then get overwhelmed with the flow and start crying and arching , I’ve tried all the different positions and letting the let down spray into a cloth before relatching but he still does the same thing. Sometimes he won’t even latch at all anymore. I’ve started pumping and bottle feeding which he does just fine with but I really want to be able to breastfeed again. I don’t know what else to try or if my breastfeeding journey is over :(

I would love to be able to combo feed “by choice” because I do like the ability to take. Rest from but unfortunately I do not seem to be producing enough. We will latch great, I’ll see/hear milk transfer. But sometimes it seems to not satisfy her and she will get so frustrated she will latch and pull off and scream. I try changing her, movement, see if she’s gassy. But she just seems hungry and she’ll eat about another 1-2 once and then seem content. I just think my supply is not getting there for her

I'm pregnant with my 3rd. I had so much trouble with my first 2. I had extremely low supply. I'm so nervous I will still have trouble this time around.

formula can be a wonderful tool to help you continue to breastfeed! I think people assume that anyone involved with breastfeeding think formula is the enemy and should be avoided, but as long as it's prepared correctly, we don't care! even a few mls of breastmilk a day counts

I needed this, I was feeling guilty for having to supplement formula, having to go back to work while EBF felt so stressful and hard and I finally had to put my mental health first. I appreciate your advice and validation to all of us moms that are just trying to do best by our babies and also for ourselves🙏🏻
