Parents can lose their common sense when the relationship between them is ending, and children become “assets” more than children during the power struggle, at times using their children against the each other, when adding anger, resentment, accusations with alcohol, illicit & or prescribed medications it exacerbates the situation, when mixing them with the emotional stresses of life & the separation from a spouse & children, violence can & does unfortunately result when they they lose control over themselves, and their common sense, then their children have a core memory that changes them forever & how they handle their own future relationships & how they themselves deal with the stresses of adulthood because of what they’ve seen & heard, sad for the child, as an adult, that woman should’ve “known better”!!!

New details are emerging about the investigation into Baby Angelita’s death — including what detectives discovered at the scene, the evidence involving a 14-year-old girl and how the case eventually led to an international rescue. During a press conference, Monterey County Sheriff’s Detective Richard Geng revealed a timeline of the investigation, beginning Aug. 1, when Baby Angelita was found dead along Struve Road in California. Investigators discovered tire impressions in blood-soaked soil and a large bloodstain several feet from the newborn’s body, leading them to believe she had been moved and run over by a vehicle. Two days later, detectives searched a family home and found the 14-year-old girl hiding beneath clothes in a bedroom closet. The teen told investigators she had recently given birth. As detectives reviewed surveillance footage, cell phone records and forensic evidence, they developed evidence suggesting she was driving the vehicle that ran over Baby Angelita. Investigators also uncovered messages allegedly sent from the teen’s phone describing how she had hidden the newborn because she feared her mother’s reaction. On Aug. 19, DNA testing revealed that the teen’s father, Sergio Galvez Perez, was also Baby Angelita’s biological father. Authorities subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for Sergio on felony sexual assault allegations. As the investigation continued, the teen and Sergio could not be located. Police issued an AMBER Alert on Sept. 6, and a tip received Sept. 14 helped investigators track them to Mexico. Working with the FBI and Mexican authorities, investigators eventually secured the teen’s safe rescue. Sergio was arrested in Mexico on local drug possession allegations, and U.S. officials are pursuing his extradition. The teen remains in the care of Mexican authorities, while the investigation into Baby Angelita’s death continues. As of the press conference, prosecutors had not filed homicide charges against her, and investigators said they had not found clear evidence linking Sergio to the newborn’s death. Watch as Detective Geng breaks down the key evidence and discoveries that shaped the investigation into Baby Angelita’s death.
