@freediver_chiara: Your ears should never hurt when you’re diving ‼️ Freedivers use dry land exercises (like this one!) to help build a mind-muscle connection with the muscles used to equalize their ears. This simple balloon exercise is one of my favorites to learn Frenzel equalization. 🎈 Inflate a balloon. 😮💨 Exhale out your air, and place the balloon into your mouth. 🫁 Allow the air from the balloon to flow into your mouth and then DIRECTLY out of your nose (not into your lungs!) This exercise trains you to keep your glottis muscle closed and your soft palate in a relaxed position. And this is exactly how we need these muscles to work in the Frenzel equalization technique! ➡️ Practicing dry land equalization training (like this exercise) will help you improve your skills in the water! Have you ever tried this exercise before? Let me know how it went! freedive | freedive training | diving | equalization | frenzel equalization | learn to freedive
