When Book is about to expose Tennis Ball's plan, he quickly grabs her and takes her behind a bush. Book advises Tennis Ball to be nicer to Needle and ensure his safety in the game. Both Book and Tennis Ball agree that they would hang out with Coiny as part of the final 5. After Coiny leaves, both take Needle to continue watching the host voting results. Needle asks what Coiny is doing, and Book tells her not to worry about him, because apparently that is how he sleeps. Needle asks if Book doesn't think Coiny is upset about the betrayal he pulled off in the last episode, but Book replies that Coiny's always going all in. Book finds out Tennis Ball is plotting to betray his pact with Needle and threatens to snitch on him to Needle. It is shown that Needle forced Tennis Ball to sign a contract, binding him to his promise to work for her in the next challenge. Tennis Ball has been tirelessly searching the contract for a loophole that will allow him to betray Needle, but cannot find one. After Tennis Ball gives up on betraying Needle, Book suggests that if he is nice to Needle, she won't disadvantage him in the next challenge. Tennis Ball tries awkwardly to socialize with Needle, but she is confused. Later, Needle greets Tennis Ball and Book after finishing talking to Coiny, and Tennis Ball asks Needle if she wants to accompany him and Book to go watch the rest of the Cake at Stake. Needle goes with them. Book and Tennis Ball annoy Needle in an attempt to comfort her feeling left out with the remaining W.O.A.H. Bunchers. During the challenge, Book runs up to Needle and forms an alliance called "FreeSmart Final Four Friends". However, Book and Tennis Ball create the Secret Underdogs alliance, but Tennis Ball breaks the alliance after kicking her, Needle, and Coiny out of his Everestian-powered car. After competing for a while, Book and Tennis Ball work together to end Leafy's challenge (due to Tennis Ball having the most flags and Book having the least). Book, Tennis Ball, and Nickel crush Leafy's friendship flags with the hydraulic press from the junkyard. When Leafy teleports to the playground, Book and Tennis Ball successfully lie to her about planning to bring her to a swimming pool. But the second time she teleports, the trio are caught red-handed and both follow Leafy with her last friendship flag. During the end of the challenge, a chasm opens up, exposing the Earth's core. Coiny takes Leafy down in order to get the last friendship flag, with Tennis Ball close behind. Just as he's about to jump down into the chasm, Needle stops him, reminding him of their deal. Needle then sets up another rule that Tennis Ball is not allowed to enter the chasm. He tries to not accept the rule before Needle reminds him of what he said during the previous contest. With this, he begrudgingly agrees to abide by her new rule. Once she enters the chasm to pursue Coiny, he wonders what he'll do. Just then, Pin's drill lands right next to him. With it, he sends the drill down to kill Leafy, effectively ending the challenge. Book calls him a villain and jumps in to save Needle from being drilled. She burns on the way down and the drill gouges out one of her eyes. As she jumps in between the drill and Needle, the drill kills Leafy, then Book also dies from burning. Despite being outsmarted by Tennis Ball, Needle still tries to plant the flag. However, the Earth starts closing up, with Tennis Ball sarcastically questioning her if she can plant the flag in the dark. Needle and Tennis Ball recover Book.
