I live in Pa and my car had the check engine light on for "egr malfunction" and there was a big hole in the exhaust right before the secondary cat and it still passed emissions.

well, u do need o2 spacers, the issue isn’t the check engine light, it’s when u get an inspection it shows the ready states for ur catalytic converter, when u go catless, it fails that test, or shows “not ready”, which also fails
