This has me thinking continuum. The thought isn’t an abstract object but a continuum of itself which is only correctly considered by including it’s beginning and it’s end and it’s middle. We have been picking at individual thoughts and trying to come to terms with their intangible nature. The can’t quite out your finger on themness of them. They are feel now like an artist’s marks of paint which are applied to a canvas to create a picture and the marks development into a picture are part of the story that make the picture what it becomes. Without the development of the marks there can be no picture and without understanding how the marks were developed we cannot truly appreciate the picture. Without achieving the picture the marks do not make sense and without making the marks the picture cannot come into being. We must consider all of these aspects in order to see the picture for what the artist intended. I appreciate that the Logos and its alphabet of the observer are not considered by this analogy, but if the analogy stretched far enough then I would have fully understood and be worthy of penning a book on the subject myself and I certainly do not have such a grasp. It is certainly a joy to be led as a novice again in a topic so immersively interesting. 👍
