@thedogsneedourhelp: 💔He’s out of time any day & he’s ever known what it’s like to be loved. This beautiful ~2-3 year old boy was surrendered with his dad after his dad got into a fight with the female dog they lived with.. this boy’s mom. He was NOT involved in the fight like I initially was under the impression of. His owner left absolutely nothing behind to help either dog. No name. No personality information. No notes about who they’re good with. Nothing. According to a neighbor,dogs spent their entire lives outside 24/7. They weren’t family They had no toys, enrichment, attention, or affection. Food and water were put outside, and that was essentially the extent of their care. Now this sweet boy trembles silently in his kennel, looking at visitors with the saddest eyes. He doesn’t bark or jump for attention. He just watches. And now, after more than a month in the shelter, he is one of the longest residents and will be EUTHANIZED ANY DAY WITHOUT WARNING simply because the shelter needs the space. He is also HEARTWORM POSITIVE. Heartworm disease is preventable and NOT contagious, but he will need treatment (there are affordable ones). He has spent his entire life surviving outside. He’s never had a soft bed or someone take him for a walk, give him toys, teach him new things, or simply sit beside him and tell him he’s loved. It’s time for that to change. He needs someone willing to be patient with him, give him time to decompress, provide the medical care he needs, and show him that life can be so much more than what he’s known. Please share. That poor baby! As an animal empath, my compassionate everything was instantly FEELING his TRAGIC SORROW. I sooo hope that someone in Texas adopts & gives him all of the love that he deserves and up to this point, never felt "loved". I'm far away in Indiana but praying someone closer rescues him soon.
