This happened to my neighbour- she had been going to Drs about backpain/pain when peeing/swollen tummy. It got dismissed as women’s problems. She begged for scan and they discovered it was skin cancer stage 4. That was May 24, she died June 25 age 47 with 3 young children under 15.

And the sad thing is that doctors are boomers refusing to leave, money for research is manipulated, becoming a doctor is unaffordable for most. Imagine the difference we could make if we changed healthcare and get money out of politics

laughed out of the surgery when i asked for a breast scan for a new lump (over 50 apparently it’s not done?!) and that was by a female gp. very tough getting through breast cancer after that
