Kingsley International Academy was known as one of the most prestigious schools in the country. Only the children of wealthy businessmen, celebrities, politicians, and other influential families could easily afford to study there. And among the thousands of students, two names were impossible to miss. Jingjing Eisaya. The Student President. Top of her class. Beautiful. Intelligent. Responsible. And apparently, the only student capable of keeping one particular troublemaker under control. Janhae Kwong. The school's biggest headache. “Janhae!” Jingjing's voice echoed through the hallway. Several students immediately turned around. Janhae, who had been casually leaning against a locker with Puyfai and Lena, slowly looked over. “What now, President?” “You're late.” “So?” “You were supposed to be in the student council meeting ten minutes ago.” Janhae shrugged. “I forgot.” Jingjing narrowed her eyes. “You forgot?” “Yep.” Their classmates began whispering. “Here we go again.” “They seriously hate each other.” “I don't understand how Janhae hasn't been suspended yet.” Jingjing walked closer, holding her clipboard tightly. “You've broken three school rules this week.” “Only three?” “Janhae!” Janhae grinned. “What? You're cute when you're angry.” The hallway went silent for half a second. Jingjing's eyes widened. Janhae immediately corrected herself. “I mean... annoying. You're annoying.” Puyfai covered her mouth to hide her laughter. Jingjing's cheeks turned slightly red. “Detention. After class.” “You can't do that.” “I just did.” “You're abusing your authority.” “And you're abusing your freedom.” They stared at each other. Neither backed down. To everyone watching, it looked like another argument between two mortal enemies. But nobody noticed the tiny smile that appeared on Janhae's lips. Nobody except Jingjing. Because underneath the clipboard, Jingjing's fingers secretly brushed against Janhae's hand. Just once. A tiny touch. I love you. Janhae's expression softened for only a second. Then Jingjing pulled away. “See you after class.” She turned and walked away. Janhae watched her leave before muttering, “She's so bossy.” Puyfai looked at her suspiciously. “You really hate her that much?” Janhae smiled. “More than anything.” Across the hallway, Jingjing heard her. She smiled quietly. Because she knew what Janhae really meant. After School The school had already become quiet when Janhae finally left detention. She walked toward the parking area, expecting to see her driver waiting. Instead, she noticed someone standing beside a black car. Jingjing. Janhae stopped. “What are you doing here?” Jingjing crossed her arms. “Waiting.” “For me?” “No.” Janhae raised an eyebrow. “Then why are you standing beside my car?” Jingjing looked away. “Just get in.” Janhae smiled. “Yes, President.” The moment they got inside and the doors closed, their entire personalities changed. Jingjing immediately leaned against Janhae's shoulder. “I'm tired.” Janhae's teasing expression disappeared. She gently fixed Jingjing's hair. “Long day?” Jingjing nodded. “You caused half of it.” Janhae laughed softly. “I'm sorry.” Jingjing looked up at her. “You're never sorry.” “I am when it's you.” Jingjing smiled. Janhae reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers. For a few quiet moments, they simply sat there. No classmates. No teachers. No pretending. Just them. “I missed you today,” Jingjing whispered. Janhae squeezed her hand. “I missed you too.” Then Jingjing rested her head against Janhae's shoulder again. Tomorrow, they would return to Kingsley International Academy. Tomorrow, they would become enemies again. But tonight... They were simply Janhae and Jingjing. Two girls who loved each other in secret. And a secret that nobody at school could ever discover. At least... not yet. #janjingjing #janhae #jingjingyu #AU #fyp
