I stopped and asked her what happened and why she was crying. She replied that she was feeling so sad and regretted giving birth to many children, yet I am the one struggling to take care of her despite not being well myself. She further said that if she ever does not wake up in the morning, I should just let her be, as she would rather die than feel this sad. If I cannot handle her funeral alone, she asked me to throw her corpse into the river and let the fish eat her. I tried to calm her down and convinced her that I will try my level best to take care of her within my capacity🙏 #sharewiththosewhocares Ps: As a dementia caregiver, one of the hardest tasks I face is helping my mak understand certain things, like why her other children and grandchildren never visit or call. I have tried reasoning with her and even lying, by saying they are busy with work and will call or visit when they are free.
