IMHO the cycle of hatred wasn’t a very good theme to explore. Like it’s so surface level when talking about cycles of oppression and inequality. The ninja world only stopped fighting because Naruto and Sasuke got strong enough to make war unwinnable and happened to want peace. If that’s not it, why wouldn’t the villages go right back to fighting for their own interests? Nothing about what they wanted changed.
