I KNOW how overwhelming this feels⤵️⤵️ .. especially when you look at everything you’re supposed to know for the NCLEX. 😩📚 But here’s what helped me…stop trying to memorize EVERYTHING about every disorder. Start with the ONE big thing happening inside the body. Once you understand that, the symptoms, interventions, and priority answers start making WAY more sense. 🙌 Here are 10 high-yield NGN topics + the ONE thing to remember: 🚨 SEPSIS → Perfusion is failing. Infection → inflammation → vasodilation + capillary leak → BP drops → organs don’t get enough oxygenated blood. ❤️ HEART FAILURE → Where is the fluid backing up? LEFT = lungs 🫁 RIGHT = rest of the body 🦵 🧠 STROKE → TIME = BRAIN. Sudden neuro change → last-known-well + rapid evaluation + brain imaging. Is it a clot or bleed? 🍬 DKA → No insulin = body burns fat. Fat breakdown → ketones → metabolic acidosis. Think: Fluids + insulin + watch potassium. 🫁 COPD → Air gets trapped. The problem isn’t only getting air IN — it’s getting it OUT. 🤰 PREECLAMPSIA → Think vascular problem. Watch for severe BP elevation, headache, vision changes, RUQ/epigastric pain and neuro changes. 👶 POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE → Boggy uterus? Think uterine atony. The uterus isn’t contracting enough to compress those blood vessels → bleeding. 🧠 INCREASED ICP → The skull has NO extra room. Increasing pressure can decrease brain perfusion. A declining LOC is a BIG warning sign. 💊 DIGOXIN TOXICITY → Low potassium = higher toxicity risk. Think nausea/vomiting + bradycardia + visual changes. 🩸 SHOCK → It’s ultimately a PERFUSION problem. Different causes, same concern: Are the organs getting enough oxygenated blood? ✨ You don’t need to know every tiny detail before you can answer questions correctly. Start with: What is the problem? WHY is it happening? What will happen next if I don’t fix it? That’s how you start recognizing decline instead of memorizing random symptoms. 🧠💗 SAVE this and study ONE concept at a time. 📌 DM “SIMPLYNCLEX” and I’ll send you more info and get you passing any nursing exam with confidence! 🙌🏻 Or you can click the link below 👇🏻 SIMPLYNCLEX.mykajabi.com Hope this helps and reshare to help another nursing buddy 🔁 ✨FOLLOW✨ for more NCLEX prep tips and all things nursing! 🩺👩🏼‍⚕️ #N#NCLEXn#nclexprepS#StudyTipsn#nursingschooln#nursingstudents
