Considering the jertig is basically the wedding ceremony so some don’t do the white dress and only the jertig, maybe do it the same night after the white dress. It’ll look so cool and cultural and everyone invited will get to experience our beautiful culture!!

Do you know why we do jertik? It is a ceremony done to get blessings for the wedding they believe it bring good luck, make a happy home full of money and children. Regulary it is the last step in the wedding celebration ceremonies before the first day in your home as married couples. Hopefully that was helpful Additionally the bride in the jertik custom is waaaay more beautiful than the white dress so you don't want to take out the shine of the white dress by appearing with the jertik before the white bridal

We had our American wedding then traveled the next day to Sudan. Had Henna, next day Jertik, then two days wedding with the white dress.

No, not weird at all. Coptic Sudanese do their jirtiq first which is the same as the henna party, and then they do the official wedding party.

You can do before or after as long as your marriage paperwork (Agid) is done before or day of the jirtig.

Not weird a lot of people sometimes do it the day before! Sometimes if you have the rages (traditional bridal dance) the day before the wedding (white dress) you would have the jirtik the day before with rages
