@lifegoalinvestments: Trump calls for a rate cut — which could make the mortgage rate and U.S. debt problems worse. #FederalReserve #MortgageRates #InterestRates #USDebt
This is the danger of being governed by a gerontocracy. They only care about the short term even if it makes everything 10x worse in the long run

U r right. The Fed is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Cutting rates saves government from $1.2T interest payment nightmare but totally screws middle class home buyers

Something bigger than the 2008 crisis.
Secure your assets, my friend.
If the Bank of Japan does not raise interest rates to prop up the dollar—thereby attracting foreign investors to borrow in Japan to purchase US debt—and the Fed maintains a "higher for longer" interest rate policy, brace yourself. We could see a wave of mortgage defaults in the US driven by these sustained high rates, which would impact the banking system much like the 2008 crisis.

Since Clinton balanced the budget, our presidents and congress have chosen tax cuts and increased war spending. We are very close to hitting the brick wall economically. Bessant is doing what he can with his authority to delay the crash. We have no true leadership that will honestly access the problem and develop rational solutions that put us on a debt reduction trajectory.

Elections are in November. Politicians want the stock market booming, then they will try to deal with it after
The feds ain’t cutting rates when Japan is in jeopardy of their economy tanking. If anything, it’s projected to go up next month. I think once we hears about Nvidia earnings report next week, we will know what will happen.

If the fed cuts rates in September or within the next 6-12 months it will erase all doubt that the fed is no longer independent.
