I’m so happy they got the version of my parents I beg for everyday but as an adult I watch them shine and all I could think was what did I do for you to hate me so much and how could you look at me and feel nothing but hate? My little sister looks and acts just like me and god I love her but I’ll never understand. Do you not see me when she calls you dad? its a bittersweet feeling. bitter because where was that when i needed it, was i not enough for him? sweet because she gets to grow up having that love and never wondering why she wasn't enough for him to be loved by.

I don't know what's worse, watching my mother stop showing me as much love so she could pick my brother as a favorite, or watching my brother become self destructive and seek her attention because she started loving her next kid leaving him behind. meanwhile I'm only used for convenience, Somthing to clean the dishes while you smoke a joint, somthing to clean the house while you poison your liver, something to yell at when things didn't go your way.
