I’ve had fibromyalgia since 2013. I’ve been on gabapentin the entire time. It doesn’t really seem to help 100% and it just makes me extremely sleepy and gain a lot of weight.

I was diagnosed about 15 years ago. My mom had it as well. Some of my go to's are: compression gloves, U-shaped pillow for sleeping & heating pad. I also get migraines and Ubrelvy has been my lifesaver!

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 25 years ago and every doctor since has just basically ignored it and treated me like a hypochondriac. It's so disheartening. No one is willing to address it in any way. They basically just say "get over it" or "just deal with it", or even worse "get more excersize"! It's maddening!

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalsia for 5 years. I was on LD- Naltrexone at it helped so much, however I moved to be closer to my doctors because the 4 hr one way drive was to painful. In doing this, I lost my pain specialist and have not had any meds to help me in almost 3 years. I'm constantly treated as if it's all in my head and I'm lying about my pain levels. There is only one pain specialist where I live and they are full until mid-2027. My husband decided that he's sick of the gaslighting here and we are moving again (to Texas) in hopes of getting better help and because thats were our kids are. I'm not convinced that I will ever get the help that I need. I listen to things I should say to care providers, but forget due to fibro fog... I'm going to try to remember this! 🥰

I'm so angry today. I finally got an MRI of my low back, and I've got 4 bulging discs. Various severity, but I have been SCREAMING about my hip and leg pain for 20 years, and it was dismissed as my fibromyalgia.

My doctors literally told me hey I am going to diagnosis you with fibromyalgia but it’s a trash can diagnosis cause we don’t know why you have pain or what causes it.

I’ve fibromyalgia but cannot tolerate any medication! I’m allergic and rash up! I can only take pain medication which and beta blockers! I’m even allergic to antibiotics all medication flares my nervous system and I end up with the worst side affects and even worse pain

This is the best explanation I’ve heard yet for fibro. I actually suffer from it myself, and it’s truly so difficult. The pain can be unbearable, and it’s hard to explain to someone who has never experienced it. 💔

I have fibro and participated in a medical study at Stanford pain with Sean Mackey. 2 days of 4 hours of MRI scans and pain tests. IT IS REAL!!!!!!

my rheumatologist did bloodwork said it was clean and then said she Dx'es everyone with clean bloodwork and my symptoms with fibromyalgia. she put me on duloxetine and when I expressed concern and wanted to try another treatment bc the duloxetine made me gain a bunch of weight, she said I needed to see another rheumatologist.
