I’m in the construction business and when I see the failures that occur in modern buildings with all our knowledge and expertise, I can’t fathom how a monument of this size and magnitude was build without the machines we have today it is certainly a mystery!

I’m not a religious person but when I went to Europe and saw some of these cathedrals and other works of art, you have to wonder if there’s some kind of divine intervention. You can’t wrap your mind around how this could possibly be built..there’s more detail in a square foot than there is in an entire building today.

They were very talented at what they did. Each person was a craftsmen and took pride in their work. They had nothing but time on their hands. Nothing to distract them except the task at hand. You will never see that again. Today we are completely distracted by everything. Back then they loved what they did and were the very best. The church always knew how to deal with the very best. That was pride and love for building a house of God.
