Small changes add up to a LOT more than you think 👇 With a consistent 500-calorie daily deficit, the energy equivalent of your fat loss could look roughly like: 🔥 65g per day 🔥 450g per week 🔥 1.9kg per month And if you’re relatively new to strength training, training consistently and eating enough protein, around 400g of muscle per month can be a realistic rate of muscle gain: 💪 ~15g per day 💪 ~100g per week 💪 ~400g per month Your rate of muscle growth will also depend on your age, sex, training experience, genetics, nutrition and how well you’re actually training. ❗ For a limited time this month, head over to the link in my bio and you can download my September Fat Loss Masterclass. I’ll show you my simple 5-step approach to build more muscle to make fat loss easier, eat more while seeing more progress on the scales, and put it all together for your own personal goals.
Today is Saturday, August 29, 2026 and yesterday was my fourth handwork class. We wet felted wool balls. This was a project that took 3 lessons so far: We began by carding wool, forming our balls and finally wet felting them. The youngest children’s wool balls turned out amazingly well, in part because I was more involved with each child’s project, which meant that all the children had to wait patiently as I helped each child start the project. With the children aged 8 to 12 years, I explained and showed the process to all of them, and then they worked on their wet felting on their own. Their projects turned out mediocre in large part because I did not wrap their final balls with a clean carded piece of wool, instead I let them do that part of the process and also because I didn’t start each of their projects to ensure that they had a good start to the wet felting process. This class was almost twice as large as the younger students, and as they were older, I did expect that they would be able to do this more successfully on their own. With all the classes, I needed to finish the wet felting at home by putting the balls in the dryer. Before I put the balls in the dryer, I added one more layer to all of the wool balls for the children aged 8 to 12 years old and wet felted it so it would have a smooth even finish. To identify each ball, I sewed on a label using thread and wrote their names on seam binding with a permanent marker. Hopefully this stays intact while they dry in the dryer. The next part of the project is to plant dye the wool balls and for any child who is capable of doing so, they get to embroider their ball. The oldest students aged 11 to 14 already began embroidering their balls in yesterday‘s class. It was then that I realize that almost all handwork instruction requires one on one or one on two instruction. They really need to watch the process and then for me to make sure they can do the skill at least three times in a row successfully before I feel like they are capable of working on their own. Because the first person will end up with a mistake or a challenge before I’m done teaching each student, I encourage them work through their problem as best they can until I can help them. Class size is 10 to 15 students so I am adjusting my expectations of how many projects we can get through considering how much individual instruction is necessary. I’m open to your tips and advice! #Homeschool #Homeschooling #WaldorfHomeschool #WaldorfInspired #MuslimHomeschool
