I did a tote bag my first year and HATED it. Switched to a lovevook backpack and it was the best thing I ever did. It really is personal preference though

It’s absolutely personal preference, I have two brixley bags, a tote and a backpack, and I love both but tote bags hurt my neck SO much especially when it’s full and heavy, so I more often use the backpack. Brixley is the best teacher bag brand though!!
