for some of the details you've carved out add some metallic grey paint (maybe add some sparkly in the paint so it shines more but only a little)

Having one open and one closed is just like the Lego ucs set which would be a cool Easter egg and maybe try making a little LAAT in the open hangar door like the Lego set
