I fully believe he absolutely emotionally abused her. A total covert narcissist. I also think, and this is my opinion, that since he was presumably having an affair with Rachel, his new wife now, she being a doctor was possibly writing prescriptions for these drugs like seroquel, and Patrick may have been drugging her which is why the medications she was taking to try and feel better were making her feel worse. He tried his best to drive her to a breaking point. That my take. And I believe it was he and Rachel who committed this crime. Not Lindsay. It’s so absolutely heartbreaking. I hope the truth comes out.

Speaking from experience… he could quite possibly be a sociopath. When you try to set boundaries, they will silently rage and plot against you. I believe that’s when he may have started drugging her. She wasn’t worried about HER hurting them, but she couldn’t say out loud to others she was afraid HE was going to hurt them. She was very afraid of him. Hence the search on sociopaths. She was a momma bear. But she didn’t know she was being drugged. And he continued to gaslight her into thinking she was crazy.

I also feel like she may have had some sort of gift, or at the very least an incredible level of empathy. When she was hearing voices or feeling like the children were going to be hurt, I wonder if she was actually picking up on Patrick’s true intentions or the energy surrounding him. A lot of women can look at someone and immediately sense that something is deeply wrong, even if they can’t explain why. And I think it’s possible that she was picking up on something about him without consciously understanding what she was sensing. She was also Catholic, so she may not have interpreted those experiences as some kind of spiritual gift. She might have genuinely believed she was losing touch with reality. But from a faith perspective, I can understand why someone might look back at those experiences and wonder if God was trying to warn her or protect her. I think it’s a perspective worth considering.🤷♀️
