At the age of 53 I gave Love one more shot. Unfortunately for me, it was with an avoidant. The roller-coaster ride I went on broke me mentally, emotionally, and physically. I absolutely depleted me. I used the last bit of strength I had to walk away for good. Although I've healed since then and Im in a much better space now, I can honestly say that I'm done trying to find Love because I have no more Love to give

Surprisingly he was pretty receptive when I basically flat out told him he’s an FA (I’m a healing FA so I phrased it like hey these are some of the challenges “WE” both face rather than highlighting his individual issues) and he was interested in what I had to say about how his attachment style impacts his behaviour. Are there any resources I could share with him that might help him, without causing him to shut down, if that’s possible?

My gosh thank you for this one. Ive seen so many of yours and no she will never change me. Were done, done I thi k which is ridiculous to be honest. Ive never gone through this BS and pray it never happens again.

Heard that the last time. Then I had an avoidant turn me from avoidant into anxious so now it’s just a choice between sadness, anger and numbness… my options aren’t good.
