On August 5, The Sameer Project brought children from our camps to the beach for a day of fun. They laughed. They played. And yes - they flew kites. Look at them. These are the supposed “threats.” These are the children whose joy must apparently be feared, restricted, and punished. We are disgusted. We are angry. And we refuse to normalize a reality where a child flying a kite can be condemned. May Palestine be free. May its children one day fly their kites as high and as far as they want, beneath a sky free from occupation, drones, and bombs.
