After 15 years studying psychology, somatics, spirituality, and consciousness, this is one of the most important things I’ve learned about healing and spiritual awakening. ✦ You cannot love and light, meditate, or spiritually bypass your way out of the parts of yourself you’re unwilling to meet. Awakening isn’t only an ascent toward higher states of consciousness. It is also a descent into the body. Learning to meet grief, fear, anger, shame, and the shadow without abandoning yourself or becoming consumed by them. To me, this is where nervous system regulation, spirituality, shadow work, and embodiment meet. We don’t become whole by transcending our humanity. We become whole by bringing the light of consciousness into relationship with all of it. 🌹This is at the heart of the work we’ll be doing inside The Alchemical Woman, a 4 month women’s container beginning this September.
