Whether it’s flock cameras big bothering everyone, Elon’s Doge vandalism, or who’ll pay for all that looming private debt (Oh, how I wonder…)—it’s big tech’s world and we’re just living in it. AI is one of many modes this is expressed; a knife that ostensibly cuts two ways, but all the power is on one side.

People are fickle creatures, chat bots are the new fad. Once people discover they don't improve or add to your life they will move on. I actually belive analog will become the next trend, as the pendulum always swings from one extreme to the other.

Valuable visions But are there all that much examples of digital designs going that way due to critical consumers or idealistic designers - given the current power structures. So perhaps it is a binary under the current power structures.

I totally agree with the binary problem. It’s why it’s important to unpack statement like “writing with AI,” or “using AI.” Because there are about 40 layers of using AI that involve different degrees of human effort and co-authorship.
