Razor-ish explanation for everyone -okurov villagers very poor, they starve, and suffer extreme blizzards -baddie doctor arrive (dr. moreau) -baddie doctor seems like good person -baddie doctor offer help to become tree -villagers so hungry and so poor, they accept offer willingly -baddie doctor perform bad experiment on villagers but they not aware -experiment success! -all other villagers think baddie doctor is good guy and savior -villagers no longer get hurt, hungry, or feel cold -why? cuz they turn to perfect tree and blue algae -TIMESKIP -traveler arrived and saved abducted nastya -nastya want to go back to village and be with her mom -we meet and fight furiosa, who mad at us cuz we bring back nastya -we enter the baddie doctor lab and found out his bad experiments -we fight and defeat zhara one of badie doctorz creations -nastya runs off to the weird tree with giant egg shell she calls ‘home’ -baddie doctor possess nastya and says bullshit “we are one” ahh cultish lines -nastya say goodbye -we try ask nastya if this is what she want cuz the transformation can still be stopped -nastya said yes cuz she miss her mommy (actually MANIPULATED and brainwashed) -nastya becomes blue algae -we go to nastya house and interact with her blue algae form -nastya now shows sign of regretting her decision -i cry.

hot take: traveler did their best to save her but they respected nastya's decision in the end. after how many nations traveler knows when to let go, back off, push back. they cant just always help/save eveyone whose not willing to be saved.

I really like stories like this. I know there are ppl who hate them, but i like them bc they feel so real. I’ve been around people who have been in abusive relationships and no matter how much you want to help them, they still choose bad decisions. Sometimes the only way to help them, makes you feel as abusive as the people who are hurting them, sometimes you deny them their own autonomy bc you just want to help them, and it feels awful so as sad as it is, you just need to to let them choose. Even if it’s a bad decision, they have the right to make that choice. The fact that traveler let her choose, it hurt but that’s the way it is sometimes. Even if they took her away, traveler can’t always be with her and she could try to come back again bc when we found her, she had escaped and still made the decision to go back bc she was just a child who wanted to be with her mom. I like that she also regretted it bc that’s also how sometimes it is in real life. You beg people to no go back but they still do and in the end they regret but it’s too late and you just have to deal with mixed emotions and go on with your own life carrying that bc that’s just how life is

not so fun fact but her becoming a part of that eternal creation is bound to happen either way to due how fate works in Teyvat (an outcome that has decided can never be changed, the Traveler may try but all they can do rn is to alter it slightly), as Aksinya later stated that the main experiment will proceed and although it may walk on different routes from what the organization had planned it will still find itself meeting it's inevitable fate. Aksinya was supposed to be the one leading everything into place (the traveler's role in the quest) but since she was murdered the role was later traveler's to take, and if not someone else will and so on. It's not a comforting thought, but at least it can eases the guilt of unknowingly leading her to her grave 😭

For those who are still blaming Traveler—Aether/Lumine literally has no idea that Nastya will turn into an algae once they get to the assembly hall. Yes, we encounter those blue algae earlier, but who would thought those are humans? It’s more realistic to think that a human can turn into a tree, but a moss? And we only found out when we talked to the Doctor, hence why Traveler suddenly tried to stop Nastya. All throughout, Traveler only knew of reuniting the kid with her Mom, aside from locating Goggles' part.

When the traveler is in an AQ They question every single information that comes up, but in a world quest? They’re like “hmm let’s see where this goes” 😭 I do think they could have done something but they did end up asking and seeing nastya dead set on her path because of her family, which is something I respect. What didn’t make sense is the fact they didn’t tell her how wrong everything is about it

ppl mad at Traveler, but realistically, HOW were they supposed to save her?? they can't watch her 24/7 and you can't really trust someone to fully understand why we can't let this little girl go back to her mother. if traveler was to save her, she would've just did to us what she did to those who tried to save her before. she'll just find another way back or convince some kind intentioned stranger to help her again
