@libbymunronutrition: If you’re taking thyroid medication and your TSH is normal that tells you almost nothing. Why? Because if your dose is correct, your TSH SHOULD be normal. That’s what thyroid medication does. It tops up your body’s supply of thyroid hormone which causes high TSH to drop. But there’s a much more important test to take. It’s a test for thyroid antibodies. That’s because around 90% of people taking thyroid medication have the autoimmune disease Hashimoto’s. A lot of people have no idea they have it. Most doctors either don’t diagnose it, or they don’t explain it. But it is the CAUSE of most hypothyroidism. So, if you’re taking thyroid medication and monitoring TSH and you still feel awful, this could be why. Because thyroid meds don’t treat thyroid antibodies. Which means they don’t treat Hashis. Which means they don’t treat Hashis SYMPTOMS. Brain fog, fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, brittle nails, skin issues, cold sensitivity… These are all extremely common Hashis symptoms. If what I’m saying sounds like you…my free thyroid Quiz can help you understand what’s going on in your body. Comment QUIZ or look in my profile link and I’ll send it you.
