that's how it works on SN. they have an event banner with that same mechanism. But I think they treated better the players there (gave 30 free pulls, 20 from an event and 10 daily (2 days of 5 pulls)) they basically gave 60 pulls for free

my luck was... very good, got the outfit in my 7th pulls (140 total pulls) at then I spent 90 pulls (180 pulls) for the first evo because I really love the color
