I’m from Canada and have a number of Hatian colleagues. All of them are now Canadian citizens. All of them are decent people with families and all of them still have family/friends living in Haiti. NONE of them will go back right now because of the extreme danger. Your point is spot on. Empathy for those being deported is non-existent and it’s sad. And wrong. Thanks for bringing attention to this.
