@the.food.forest: We found this young opossum after it was chased by a dog and helped get it somewhere safe. Despite the impressive growling, it was mostly just trying its best to look intimidating while hiding out. Opossums are actually great neighbors to have around the yard. They’re opportunistic omnivores that help clean up fallen fruit, insects, snails, slugs, and other organic matter. If you spot one wandering through the garden at night, there’s usually no need to evict it. Accessibility: Video shows a young opossum hiding inside the opening of a cinder block and growling defensively after being rescued from a dog. #Opossum #GardenWildlife #BackyardWildlife #WildlifeRescue #BeneficialWildlife
