mine much prefers my right side, maybe because my left is bigger 😅 what helps is rugby hold!! if mine pops on and off the left, we switch from cross cradle to rugby and all sorted :)

My baby does it only for 2 reasons: 1. Not hungry 2. Tired!!! Almost always tiredness and overstimulated because he diddnt have a good nap. 12 weeks old.

Yes I find she also sometimes stays latched but kicks and pulls/tugs at breast with her face or smooshes her face in and grunts.
