Oh the tears that came out of me. We just dealt with two hen losses, one in April and one in the last month. Both were with us and they weren’t alone. It is difficult but being there for them is important, they’re not alone. The one we lost recently was showing all the signs she may pass very soon, so I placed her in the grass next to her sisters and she passed a few seconds later. I cried and put my hands on her and told her I loved her. She loved foraging with her sisters in that grass, I just knew she was going to be at peace.
