As a parent. I would understand if my son came to me, telling me of those thoughts he is having. I would listen and get him professional help. My supports vanishes the instant he ignores help and actively chooses to follow that side of him. I would not have him become a danger to anyone, and would report him in a heartbeat. But as long as he wants to manage it, and knows what to avoid, and chooses to be a good person with a problem rather than a vile one; he remains my son

Thank you. The idea that another mom wants my kid to be safe brings me a lot of comfort. I’m physically disabled and deal with a lot of fear/anxiety that I couldn’t keep my child safe in an emergency.
