As a cashier, I can tell you we put up with so much every single day—rude and aggressive customers, disrespect, racism, people stealing and then lying about it, and so much more. Cashiers are human beings just trying to do our jobs and earn a living. We deserve to feel safe and be treated with basic respect. Please be kind to the person behind the register—you never know what they’ve already dealt with that day
